Why we use your data

Personal data is used to process bets and transactions, including card and online payments; to provide the games and related services you use; to support you with your account; to carry out required verification; and, only with your consent, to send marketing from 1Red and selected partners. It is also used to comply with anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing law, to watch for fraud, abuse of the terms and irregular play, and to analyse optional surveys and aggregated statistics.

Identity verification and fraud prevention

Gambling rules oblige 1Red to process player data, above all to know who each player is. Documents can be requested to verify an account, process deposits and withdrawals or check for fraud, either because 1Red decides to or because the law requires it. Information may also come lawfully from vendors such as fraud-prevention services. The aim is to protect players from identity misuse and to keep criminal money off the platform.

Who receives your data

Data may be shared with companies in 1Red's group and with business partners under the necessary agreements; with authorised staff such as the data protection officer, the money-laundering officer, payment and anti-fraud analysts, support, retention and VIP teams, all bound by confidentiality; with payment processors, most card payments being handled by Paysafe; with regulators and law enforcement where the law requires; with providers of hosting, analytics, marketing and e-mail services; and with a buyer in a merger or acquisition, after you are told by e-mail. 1Red does not sell or rent personal data.

Transfers to other countries

Providing the service can involve transferring data outside the EU, EFTA and EEA, for example for payments, games or verification. The policy states that such transfers are protected by safeguards like the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, as required by the GDPR.

How long we keep your data

Once an account is closed, its data is kept only as long as the law requires and used only if authorities need it for enquiries into financial records, fraud or money laundering. Anti-money-laundering rules set a minimum of five years from the last transaction or the closure, so erasure requests within that time cannot be granted. Anonymised data may be retained.

How we protect your data

Accounts are accessible only with your unique ID and password, and two-factor authentication can be added. Every employee who handles player data has signed a confidentiality agreement, and processors are contractually bound to the same level of protection.

Cookies

Required cookies make navigation and member areas work, functional cookies store choices such as language and region, and advertising cookies measure campaigns and sign-ups; third-party services may set cookies as well. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, though some features may stop working.

Your rights and how to use them

Requests go to the data protection officer at [email protected], who may first confirm your identity. The policy also refers to Article 77 of the GDPR, under which you may complain to a supervisory authority where you live, work or where the alleged infringement occurred.

Age limit

1Red is for adults aged 18 and over; accounts belonging to younger users are suspended and investigated.

Changes to this policy and contact

The policy is updated from time to time; 1Red tries to inform players, and continued use means acceptance. Questions go to [email protected]; see also our contact page and terms and conditions.
